the new promotion, which included the natural revenue of the rectory ('nearly £100 a year,' it was reputed in 1648), together with a reserved rent of £40 per annum from the rectory of Towyn and £80 from the prebend of Vaynol allowed him as 'augmentations' by the Puritan authorities.

societies; as such, he reports to Howel Harris from Penllech, 20 April 1748, but in a P.S. it is said that he would not be at the Carmarthen Association in May following - a hint of something gone wrong.
Ellis
is conjectured to have been disciplined by Harris in July 1749. But he was present with William Griffith of Cefn Amwlch at Garth, Brecknock, in November 1748, and preached, so William Jones

for what ordered to be given him out of the Corporation Fund, towards satisfying him for an organ built by him for the use of Beaumaris church, £10.10.0.' He was organist of the church until 1800. He died 25 March 1823 and was buried in Beaumaris churchyard.

became its first secretary. He edited or co-edited Y Cyfaill, Baner America, and Blodau yr Oes a'r Ysgol; he was part-owner of Blodau yr Oes. He died 1 June 1901 at Pueblo, Colorado.
