WILLIAMS, THOMAS (Brynfab; 1848 - 1927), littérateur and farmer Born 8 September 1848 at Fforch Aman, a farm in Cwmaman, Aberdare, son of Thomas and Gwenllian Williams. When he was very young, the family moved to Fforch, Treorchy, where he received what little education he ever had. At the age of 25 he settled at Hendre, in the parish of Eglwysilan, and was a farmer there for more than fifty years. On his retirement he went to live at Hendre Wen, S. Athan. He

The family went to live at Melin Pontycapel, Cefncoedycymer, c. 1781. Taliesin ab Iolo says, in a letter, that when he was 7 years of age he began to work on a coal level owned by his father. WILLIAMS, THOMAS (Tom Nefyn; 1895 - 1958), minister (Presb.) and evangelist Born 23 January 1895 at Bronolau, Boduan, Caernarfonshire, son of John Thomas, a well-known local poet in Llŷn, and his wife Ann Williams. The family moved to the vicinity of Nefyn, and established themselves later at Bodeilas near Pistyll where he was brought up.
