Some think he was the 'one
Roberts
' who was suspended by the bishop of S. Davids in 1634 for ' inconformity.' What is certain is that the Committee for Plundered Ministers appointed him in 1642 to preach, in English and in Welsh, in the parish of Llanbadarn-fawr, Cardiganshire, and the adjoining parishes, on a stipend of £100 per annum, and that in 1646 he was instituted to that parish.
