Voucher, Lewis Ellis for what ordered to be given him out of the Corporation Fund, towards satisfying him for an organ built by him for the use of Beaumaris church, £10.10.0.'   • ELLIS, MORGAN ALBERT (1832 - 1901), Welsh-American preacher and editor ., Cincinatti, Ohio, etc.; he then went westwards and ministered in San Francisco and in Coal Creek, Colorado. When the General Assembly of the Calvinistic Methodists was formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 1869, Ellis became its first secretary. He edited or co-edited Y Cyfaill, Baner America, and Blodau yr Oes a'r Ysgol; he was part-owner of Blodau yr Oes. He died 1 June 1901 at Pueblo, Colorado.

He was taught the elements of music by John Williams (Ioan Rhagfyr, 1740 - 1821); when the latter died Richard Ellis succeeded him as precentor at S. Mary's church, Dolgelley.
