, 18 December 1859 at S. Bride's-super-Ely, Glamorganshire, and took charge of Whitchurch (ordained there 2 February 1860). He ministered at Capel

. Agincourt in the West Indies, being later transferred to H.M.S. Theseus. He returned home to recover his health, and after convalescence was appointed rector of Manordivy, Pembrokeshire, and, in 1807, vicar of Kerry, Montgomeryshire, the living being in the gift of Thomas Burgess, bishop of S.
