of age. He married (1), in 1894, Emily, daughter of Col. C.M. Longmore, of Gosport; (2), in 1911, Jennie Bell, daughter of Sidney Smith, of Gosport. They had

sons and 2 daughter. He died 7 December 1957 at his home, 27 Gravel Hill, Addington, Surrey, and was buried in the churchyard there.
