ROBERTS, GWYNETH PARUL (1910 - 2007), doctor and missionary Gwyneth Roberts was born on 1 November 1910 in Sylhet, India, the second child of the Reverend John William Roberts (1880-1969), a member of a Liverpool Welsh family and Ethel Griffith Roberts (née Jones, 1879-1972), born in Manchester. Her parents had gone as missionaries to Sylhet in 1907, and were based there for almost forty years. They had three children: the first died in childhood, and a

In addition to these works Thomas Roberts published several articles on his chosen field. In everything he did he was thorough and meticulous, and he always strove to maintain the highest standards of scholarship. He married Gwyneth Edwards of Llandudno in 1920, and they had one daughter. He died 25 August 1960.
THOMAS, JOHN ROWLAND (1881 - 1965), religious leader and prominent merchant ', Dollis Hill, there was an open door for a host of Welsh people, especially ministers of the Gospel. They had 3 daughters; Morfudd, who married J. Idris Jenkins, the first minister of the Welsh Congregational church at Harrow; Gwyneth; and Eluned Marian, who emigrated to Toronto, Canada, and who was President of the North American Welsh National Gymanfa Ganu Association 1976-78. He died 16 April 1965.

WILLIAMS, JAC LEWIS (1918 - 1977), educationalist, author terms for use in teaching all school and college subjects through the medium of Welsh. He forwarded them on to the Terminology Committee of the University Faculty, a collection which led ultimately to the publication of Geiriadur Termau (Dictionary of Terms).
