who lived at Tŷr-clai (or Tir-y-clai), Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire. He was celebrated in his day because of his remarkable appearance and his unconventional method of preaching; he was responsible for the conversion of the celebrated Jenkin Thomas ('Siencyn Penhydd,' 1746 - 1807).
