DAVIES, EVAN THOMAS
(Dyfrig; 1847 - 1927), cleric
Son of
Thomas
Davies and Rachel his wife. Born. 20 June 1847 at Cwmcefn, Llanfihangel Ystrad, Cardiganshire, educated at Ystrad Meurig and at S. David's College, Lampeter, where he graduated in 1869. After a year spent in teaching at Greenock, he was ordained deacon in 1870 by bishop Ollivant of Llandaff, and priest in 1871. After serving curacies at Llanwynno, Ferndale, and Betws, Glamorganshire
