(1737? - 1784), Methodist exhorter
A native of Cil-y-cwm, Carmarthenshire. He travelled considerably in both North and South Wales and in some places suffered persecution. His temperament was genial, but he could thunder forth on occasion. ' John Evan of Killy-comb ' is mentioned in the will of Morgan Rhys, the hymn-writer, 1779. William
