ROBERTS, KATE

were performed by 'Cymdeithas y Ddraig Goch' (The Red Dragon Society) in the
Tawe
valley during the war. Two of Kate's brothers, Evan and Dei, were soldiers in the First World War; Evan was severely wounded and suffered from the after-effects of those wounds throughout his life, while Dei was wounded and died of dysentery while recuperating in Malta in 1917.
