WILLIAMS, WILLIAM JONES
(1891 - 1945), revivalist, Apostolic pastor
Brother of Daniel Powell Williams and his companion as prophet on his travels; born at Garn-foel, Pen-y-groes, Carmarthenshire, 9 May 1891. He began attending revival meetings at the age of ten, and in a meeting held at Llanllian chapel (CM) Evan Roberts and Dr. D.M.

laid their hands on him wishing him to be led into the ministry. He was called to serve the Apostolic Church as prophet

son of David Williams (born c. 1824) of Glasdo, Llan Ffestiniog, (a descendant of William Prichard of Clwchdyrnog, Anglesey), and his wife Ann Owen (c.1823-1867). He was born 21 July 1848. After getting a little education at a dame's school in the village, he obtained employment in the firm of J. and N.
Phillips
of Manchester, and spent the rest of his life travelling for it in North Wales. He
