(1753 - 1834), Calvinistic Methodist minister
Born at Blaen-y-garth, Nantlle Vale, brother of the remarkable preacher, Robert Roberts (1762 - 1802) of Clynnog. He worked for some time in Cilgwyn quarry but, after having had a little education, kept a school in various places, being known for many years as 'John Roberts, Lanllyfni.'
