Son of a poet and a native, presumably, of South Wales. Nothing is known of his life, but some of his poetry remains in manuscript. This includes englynion in praise of Gruffudd Dwnn's mansion in Ystrad Merthyr (Llanstephan MS 40 (60)), a cywydd written to Sir Harry ap Sir Thomas Johns of Abermarlais (Llanstephan MS 30 (444)), and another to Sir John Perrot (see the article on the family) of Pembrokeshire (Llanstephan MS 30 (447)).
