CYNFRIG ap DAFYDD GOCH (fl. c. 1420), poet Several of his cywyddau are preserved, among them two in praise of Wiliam of Penrhyn, a cywydd gofyn, and one to Tudur ap Iorwerth Sais (Rhys ap Cynfrig Coch in Cwrtmawr MS 244B (52), Gruffydd Gryg in Llanstephan MS 11 (105), Peniarth MS 64 (122), NLW MS 3047C (793)).
ROBIN DDU (fl. c. 1450), poet About ninety of his compositions are preserved in manuscript, many of them being vaticinatory. In one of these he converses with his book of prophecies, a type of vaticination also attributed to Meredudd ap Rhys and Llywelyn ap Cynfrig Ddu. He was an adherent of the Tudors during the Wars of the Roses, and wrote an elegy on the death of Owain Tudor. Among the more notable of his poems are his

His pedigree is given in Powys Fadog thus: ' Madog Benfras ap Gruffudd ap Iorwerth, arglwydd Sonlli, ab Einion Goch ab Ieuaf ap Llywarch ap Ieuaf ap Niniaw ap Cynfrig ap Rhiwallawn.' His two brothers, Llywelyn Llogell (parish priest of Marchwiail), and Ednyfed, were also poets; according to Iolo Morganwg their bardic teacher was Llywelyn ap Gwilym of Emlyn. Iolo also

LLOYD family Dolobran, fled from Demetia to Powys after slaying the mayor of Carmarthen. A Kelennyn ap Ririd was a juror in Mechain Uchcoed in 1292. The upper reaches of the pedigree are confused. Gwladys, daughter and heiress of Rhiryd ap Cynfrig Efell of Llwydiarth, is given as the wife of Rhiryd and of his son Celynin.
