century bard Dafydd Llwyd ap Llewelyn ap Gruffudd, who lived at Mathafarn, not far from where S. Tydecho is supposed to have settled. From his ' Cywydd Tydecho Saint ' we learn that the saint lived the life of a hermit with his sister
