(Dafydd Ionawr; 1751 - 1827), schoolmaster and poet
). In 1794 he moved to Dolgelley. On the death of his father (1798) he inherited the property of both his parents, which he transferred to a friend, Thomas Jones, on condition that he might spend the rest of his life as one of his
