Born at Llanddoget, Denbighshire, 26 August 1793. He began to preach when he was 18 years old, and became missionary to Llŷn and Eifionydd in 1815. He was ordained at Garn Dolbenmaen, 25 November 1817, and moved in 1820 to Llangollen, in 1822 to Dolgelley, and in September 1823 to Castleton, Monmouth, where he remained until his death on 1 December 1855.
