Spinther seems to think, who attended the Aberafan assembly (1654) but Thomas Evans of Dyffryn-ffrwd. In spite of the fact that under Charles II he was thrown into prison at Brecon and grievously persecuted, two of his sons and many of his descendants entered the ministry, among them being Hugh and Caleb Evans of Bristol,
