daughter of William Llwyd of Vaenol, near Bangor, Caernarfonshire. As a young woman she married one Edmund Williams; her second marriage (c. 1817) was with Edward Thomas of Tal-y-bont Uchaf, Llanllechid, an elder at Gatws church (Calvinistic Methodist), near Bangor. Her hymns are found written on the blank pages of an old edition of the Bible, T. Charles's Geiriadur, and an old copy of the Book of Common Prayer. Some of her hymns were published by T. Levi in Y Traethodydd, 1904, among them being ' Dyma Feibl annwyl Iesu.' She is believed to be the writer of this old hymn which is not attributed to any other person. As far as is known, it was first published in the second edition of T. Owen's hymn-book (Llanfyllin, 1820).
