Born at Penmorfa, Caernarfonshire, February 1704 (possibly 1703). When a shoemaker in London, he became a Methodist, but by 1742 had joined the Moravians. In 1743 he was sent on a visit to Wales, and seems to have been the first Moravian missioner in Pembrokeshire. After holding various offices in the Brethren's church in London, he died while on a visit to Germany, at the very end of 1747.
