a native, it is said, of Cynwyd, Meironnydd. No details regarding his life are known, but at least two of his poems in free metres remain. One is entitled ' Hanes yr hen ŵr o'r coed,' and the other, in the form of a dialogue between two sisters, has alternate stanzas by Mathew Owen of Llangar and himself.
