Born 13 February 1861 at Carmarthen, son of William Morgan, minister (Congl.) and Professor at the Presbyterian College, Carmarthen, and his wife Margaret, daughter of Thomas Rees, Capel Tyddist, Llandeilo. He was educated at Tattenhall (Staffordshire) and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was a J.P. for Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Glamorganshire, represented West Carmarthenshire in Parliament (as a Liberal), 1889-1910, and was Recorder of Swansea, 1909-11. His biography of his father was published in London in 1886. He was generous to various religious causes, particularly to Union Street Chapel, Carmarthen, his father's church. He died 17 May 1944 and was buried in the Union Street Chapel cemetery.
