He was appointed vicar of Llangamarch, Brecknock, 24 January 1661, and his successor was appointed (after his death) on 17 August 1676. There is extant a written by him to praise God for the health of Rowland Gwynne of Glan-brân, and two englynion to his brother, Dafydd Jones of Maes Mynys (near Builth).
